February Summary...part deux-2

Decided to delete an old blog started almost 8 years ago. Instead of deleting all posts, I will post many that were needed at different points of my life. Enjoy!

Okay, so I shouldn't have written my summary till probably now. You see, that is interesting thing about life. Shit happens. So I was fortunate to go to the final Joey McIntyre and Emanuel Kiriakou show of the month last night. Along with the usual yet awesome thing of meeting and hanging out with fellow Blockheads before during and after the show, the show itself was FUCKING EPIC. Why? Well, (not to spoil the surprise Joey and Eman have/had), the show was set up with microphones and equipment to record the show, to eventually turn into a "CD". What does that mean (other than the obvious)? Well, that it was a seriously UNPLUGGED show where basically anything goes more than usual. Joey and Eman added a new intro that was unexpected. Demanded re-dos of songs, and our "fake" crowd noise. (Oh, I would like to shout out the Lounge at The Palms for the organization with VIP and GA lines, which made everything so smooth.) Along with their HILARIOUS witty banter, Eman pulled out some serious stops with the random yet awesome songs from the 80's. I really hope the CD captures those moments, because I was so in the moment that I don't remember specific details. Basically, the random/train wrecks in the show, make the show. I am so stoked they decided to "Play Vegas" this month (my birthday month). I am stoked for what is come with the future shows (if I am able to attend). Although, there was an inkling to the announcement in the Las Vegas Review Journal last night that FALL SHOWS are in the works. I can't express how appreciative I am to have had these experiences. My passion for music and performance is so aroused with these shows, it isn't even funny! A thing I have liked/been impressed with these intimate shows, it the respect by us fans for the performances themselves. Very different feel than the hysteria of a NKOTB show. :-) Granted there still is the fun, the heckling, and laughter, the musical respect is refreshing. I have to say one of my favorite moments of the show last night (other than Joe and Eman seeing my #VegasConstituency sign for the 3rd week in a row), would be when Heidi (@NewKids4Vegas) and I requested "POPSICLE" and Joe responded with "I got your Popsicle right heah." Fucking hilarious!! I can't forget "The Godfather" spoofs/skits randomly thrown in there by the pair. Shit, I can't forget, I was finally able to give Joey McIntyre my #VegasConstituency sign after the show. Thanks Joe for the "Thank you" when I gave you my sign. You were so gracious, and I know you were exhausted. Till next time...later! ;-)
