Decided to delete an old blog started almost 8 years ago. Instead of deleting all posts, I will post many that were needed at different points of my life. Enjoy!
The thought of Jordan Knight's #DeluxePackage finally arriving today is bliss in Blockhead world.;-) (Either you get the joke or not.) I first thought of writing this entry out of anger for what the song "Lets Go Higher" turned out to be, but I have decided I am more confused than anything. As many previous entries have explained, my passion for the New Kids has come from the originality and raw talent they possess. I understand change as time goes by, but I am just confused as to why Jordan Knight (and Joey McIntyre) would succumb to the auto tune masking escapades the top 40 represent these days in music. Perhaps the constant disrespect from critics, and naysayers over the years has gotten to the members of NKOTB causing them to go along with the grain?
Don't get me wrong, I love dance music (which includes trance, electronica, etc, I have for years. That stems for my love for 80's Dance/Freestyle where it began. In fact, it seemed to be a cult kind of genre. Now it seems like every artist is collaborating, and going dance to appeal to the masses. I will say I am a Little Monster for Lady Gaga, but I find her completely original. For the record, screw Ke$ha, she has based her entire career on Lady Gaga. You can't forget how long Lady Gaga (well Stephanie Meyer) has been in the music business as a songwriter/producer.
I am just confused as to why Jordan Knight has decided to go along with the industry. Some have agreed that the music industry is imploding, but perhaps it's going through a phase?
